Yes coolness helps. I also like to use my sinus pack, that i heat up in the microwave for about 40 seconds to lay over my sinuses and eyes. It's soothing.

What are some ways to manage eye strain and swollen eyelids when you have AMD?

To help protect your eyes and reduce strain, wearing sunglasses or a hat while outside is important to shield your eyes from damaging UV rays. Regular physical activity for at least 30 minutes daily can help improve overall eye health by supporting good blood circulation. For ongoing eye health support, AREDS2 supplements containing vitamins C and E, zinc, copper, and the antioxidants zeaxanthin and lutein may be beneficial. These nutrients help support overall eye health and function.

It's important to discuss any eye symptoms with your ophthalmologist, as they can recommend specific treatments tailored to your situation and determine if any medication adjustments are needed to better manage your AMD symptoms.

Hi Phil, if you put a cool cloth on your eyes, that helps.
