I start my next session of 9 treatments next week. Had two full sessions already, Exam show improvement of vision in my left eye. I am able to go from light to dark without a problem now and colors are much clearer. I had to pay for first 2 treatments. I don't know yet about the third.

I will start my second group of nine sessions in August. The first group of nine sessions went well. No known after effects, except my wallet is a little thinner
I have intermediate AMD in both eyes and my eye Dr. recommended these treatments since I was not willing to risk the possible harsh side effects of the shots and the fact that I would have to get the shots for the rest of my life.
The red light therapy has been available in Europe for a number of years without any major issues. I felt comfortable to give it a try since the risks seem reasonable for me.

This therapy is meant for dry AMD

I have inquired about this in my area. I am told I am a very good candidate but insurance will not cover. It would cost me approximately $1000 per session out of pocket. You have the 3 sessions per week for 3 or 4 weeks. This procedure would then need to be repeated every few years. This is sadly cost prohibitive for me. If I have federal retirement insurance it would be covered but not my Medicare. I have AMD in only one eye and am uncertain as to what action to take from this point.

I just completed my first 9 treatment session. Painless and quick with no lasting after effects. Wish I could say the same about the izervay injection. Hope it helps.
