I have been having injections of Syfovre for the last 11 months, every 6-8 weeks. My eye has finally started showing improvement and my injections are now every 8-9 weeks. The only problems I experienced was excruciating pain during the injections. After four very painful visits, my doctor started giving me a shot of Lidocaine before the Syfovre. It worked! I was prepared to quit the injections because of the pain.

I have received 2 injections of Syfovre in my left eye for geographic atrophy. Last month I had a terrible time after my injection. Maybe a reaction to what they cleaned my eye after injection?? Last week I received my second injection and have had very little problems. Of course, not much has changed in my vision nor did I expect it to. I’m praying o don’t get this in my right eye or my vision would really be compromised. I had dry AMD before this happened. Anyone that has any info, I would appreciate you sharing with me.

I cannot imagine having eye injections without numbing, how did this ever happen to you???
